OTTAWA, ONTARIO--(CCNMatthews - Dec. 7, 2004) - The National Hockey
League Fans' Association (NHLFA) is pleased to announce its first two
corporate sponsors.
Decima Research Inc. (www.decima.com) has been secured as the flagship sponsor of the NHLFA's annual Fan Report poll. The poll gauges the views of the Association's 25,000-plus members on a broad range of issues
related to NHL hockey.
Decima Research has a respected reputation in the field of public
opinion and marketing research, providing full service quantitative and
qualitative studies for a diverse range of clients in the public and
private sectors, as well as industry associations and non-profit
organizations. Decima's expertise will be used to assist the NHLFA in
fine-tuning its Fan Report poll.
RIVI Online has agreed to sponsor the Toronto Chapter of the NHFLA.
RIVI Online operates a Web site located at www.rivionline.ca and sells
hockey and other sports memorabilia. RIVI is also providing a discount
on its products to NHLFA members.

says Jim Boone, co-founder of the NHLFA. "We're hopeful the commitment
and contribution made by these companies will attract other prospective
sponsors, allowing the NHLFA to expand its scope and membership."
The NHLFA was launched in 1998 to give hockey fans across North America
and worldwide a way to express their views on NHL hockey and to
influence the game for the better. Membership in the non-profit NHLFA
is free and anyone can become a member by registering at www.nhlfa.com.
N.B. Jim Boone will be in the Toronto area this Thurs., Dec. 9th and
Fri., Dec. 10th monitoring the NHL and NHL Players' Association
collective bargaining meetings.
