(OTTAWA) - The National Hockey League Fans' Association (NHLFA) has reached an agreement with The Hockey News (THN) in a move designed to raise awareness of the NHLFA and promote subscriptions to The Hockey News publication.
Under the terms of the agreement, the NHLFA will encourage its members
to take out a subscription to THN. In return, the NHLFA will receive
advertising space in the world's most respected hockey publication. The
ad space will be used to inform hockey fans about the NHLFA and to
attract new members to the Association.
The NHLFA will promote THN through e-mail notices to members and via
advertising at NHLFA.com. The promotion campaign will be in two phases:
June 16 to July 15, and September 1 to 30 of this year.
The NHLFA was launched in 1998 to give NHL fans across North America and around the world a way to express their views on the game and to influence it for the better. There is no charge for membership and to date over 17,000 hockey fans have registered as members. Membership is available via the Association's Web site at NHLFA.com
The Hockey News has been providing the most comprehensive coverage of
the world of hockey since 1947. THN is published 42 times a year,
including 36 regular issues and six special issues.
