Dear Mr. Bettman:
On behalf of the more than 3,800 members of NHLFA.com the National Hockey League Fans' Association may we start by wishing you a Happy New Year, and a successful 1999.
As you know, our association and Web site at www.NHLFA.com debuted last April with the objective of giving fans a voice in the future of NHL hockey. We also recently released the results of our first-ever NHLFA Fan Report poll. The Fan Report asked our members a broad range of questions relating to NHL hockey. Fans are embracing the opportunity to speak out on issues that concern them. If you haven't had the opportunity to see the results for yourself, you can find them on our Web site (http://www.nhlfa.com/fanreport/).
We are writing to you at this time to propose a meeting over the All-Star break in Tampa Bay. We would like to introduce ourselves and review some of the key findings from this first-ever Fan Report poll, as well as discuss the future relationship between the National Hockey League and the National Hockey League Fans' Association. We believe the NHL and the NHLFA can cooperate to make the NHL game the best it can be.
We look forward to hearing from you and hope that you will be able to spend some time with us later this month.
Yours truly,
|
