Member Updates 11/16/00 NHLFA Members Update
|
Hello to all members of the NHLFA and a special welcome to those of you
who have joined since our last communication. We're now over 16,000
members strong and with your help will continue to grow more rapidly.
Please continue to spread the word so we can reach the kind of numbers
we need to have a real impact on decisions affecting the game. You can
easily "Recruit a Friend" into the NHLFA by visiting this page
http://www.nhlfa.com/send.asp
If you haven't visited http://www.NHLFA.com lately, please check it
out. We have done a complete redesign of the site and hope you find it
to your liking. Included on the new site is a bulletin board
(http://www.nhlfa.com/boards.html) where NHLFA members can discuss issues affecting the game. Please take advantage of this new communications tool and do your best to uphold our Association's image
as a professional advocacy forum for fans of the NHL. Remember, many
eyes from the NHL hockey community will take a peak at your comments.
You'll notice that in our "News" section of the site
(http://www.nhlfa.com/news/news.asp), we have created a category called Hockey Fan News. With your help identifying really good hockey fan related stories, we'll populate this section with topical pieces that speak to the fans' concerns. Please send us articles you spot that may be of interest to everyone.
Over 3,000 of you completed our 2000 Fan Report poll in June and the
results are available on the Web site at
http://www.NHLFA.com/fanreport/2000.asp. The 2000 Fan Report results were mailed to all NHL players in late October (visit
http://www.NHLFA.com/news/nr10_19_00.asp to read the cover letter to players) and to the media, the NHL and the NHL Players Association this week.
The following are the results from our last mini poll:
| Canadian Wildlife Federation | 1319 | 55% |
| NHL / Minnesota Wild | 510 | 21% |
| Neither side | 485 | 20% |
| Don't know | 92 | 4% |
We thank you all for your ongoing interest and support. Together, we
will be able to make a difference.
Yours truly,
Jim and Jim
