Welcome to the New NHLFA.com!
Ladies and Gentlemen... it's time to introduce you to the new and freshly redesigned NHLFA.com Web site. It's been awhile in the making and we hope you like it and find it easy to use.
Probably the best thing about the new site, in addition to its great new look, is that we now have e-commerce up and running making it much easier for you purchase NHLFA merchandise and support your Association. And we dearly need your support. As most of you know, we have personally funded the NHLFA since its inception and we're in the process of registering the Association as a non-profit organization. We've added some great quality NHLFA-branded clothing in the newly-renovated NHLFA Store and we ask that you please take a look at what's available and, if you possibly can afford it, purchase something for yourself or for a friend or relative. You can use VISA, Master Card or AMEX (sorry, AMEX available for Canadian orders only) so break out the plastic and help support the NHLFA.
Not only are you supporting your Association, it's free advertising for all of us. We'd like to thank those of you who have helped in the past by buying hats and shirts. You'll now have a much wider choice of merchandise and this choice will continue to grow as we add items such as pins, pucks, pens, videos, and other smaller items. If there's something you want to see us carry, just drop us an e-mail and we'll try to add it to The Store.
Other highlights of the new site include a Member Services section which contains previous member updates, e-mail registration and Chapter information. As well, we continue to include all our news releases and media articles about the Association. And keep checking the site because we hope to have more interesting additions coming as well.
Thanks for being a part of the NHLFA.

Letters Now In Players' Hands
We sent off 700-plus letters about two weeks ago, one to every player in the NHL and copies to Gary Bettman and Bob Goodenow. Needless to say, we had a severe case of tongue depression after licking and sticking that many envelopes. As you may recall, these letters were to ask the players and the League to become actively involved in providing some concrete options and solutions to the financial problems currently plaguing the small market Canadian teams. Thanks to all 1,409 people who added their names to these letters and a special thank you to our many American members (one third of the signees) who supported the cause of the Canadian franchises.
