This note is being sent to the 28,168 Members of the NHL Fans' Association.
At long last, we are only days away from the return of NHL hockey.
Please take a minute and complete a mini-poll located at
www.nhlfa.com/minipoll_oct05/. In addition to the NHLFA community answering this poll, more than 1500 Canadians will also be asked the same questions by our corporate sponsor Decima Research. This will give us very good results to share with the NHL, the NHL Players Association and the media. Deadline to complete the poll is 11:59 EST Oct. 4.
An enormous amount of work is being done these days to help strengthen the
NHLFA. Jim Boone has had numerous meetings with NHL executives and even met
with the NHL Players Association for the first time in many years. At first
blush, both the NHL and NHLPA seem more receptive than ever to work closely
with the fans of their sport. Let's hope this new found openness helps our
almost eight year-old organization progress.
Thank you to the 22,000 fans who were Members of the NHLFA before the
lock-out started. Thank you to the 7000 new Members that have joined in the
last year. And thank you to everyone who has been quietly helping promote
the FA to their friends, colleagues and family. Your continued support and
patience is appreciated.
