This note is being sent to the 27,825 Members of the NHL Fans' Association.
The CBA is finally completed and teams have resumed business operations.
Prospects are being drafted and free agents signed in what will be a wild
summer of activity leading up to the 2005-06 NHL season.
We are pleased to announce a new corporate sponsor of the NHLFA.
CCNMatthews is a very well-respected news distribution company based in
Toronto. For the past seven years, the NHLFA has used the services of this
company to disseminate its news releases to the media. The sponsorship deal
with CCNMatthews allows us to more affordably spread news to all 30 NHL
cities and beyond. Please read the news release for more information.
Last Thursday, Bob Goodenow resigned as the executive director of the NHL
Players' Association. Today, we have written and delivered a letter to Ted
Saskin, the new leader of the NHLPA, proposing that our two organizations
work more closely than in the past. The NHLPA has all but ignored our
Association over the last seven years. Please take a moment and read the letter.
We are closing in on 28,000 Members. Please help spread the NHLFA word to
friends, family and colleagues encouraging them to join
(www.nhlfa.com/send.asp). Also, feel free to make a financial contribution
to help our efforts (http://www.nhlfa.com/2don8.asp). You can view the
names of the people who have helped financially support the NHLFA by

please visit The NHLFA Boards (www.nhlfa.com/boards.html).
