Tribute to Maurice Richard #9 Montreal Canadiens
We want to recognize the passing on May 27 of one of the greatest
players in the history of the National Hockey League, Maurice "The
Rocket" Richard.
Star of the Montreal Canadiens from 1942 to 1960, Maurice Richard played
the game the way it's supposed to be played and understood the
relationship between the fans and players. When Maurice Richard
announced his retirement on September 15, 1960, he held or shared many
individual league records. We hope all of you will join us in offering
our condolences to the Richard family and to all who knew Maurice
Richard and loved what he did both on and off the ice.
