Happy new year to all 17,826 members of the NHL Fans' Association.
Due to the demise of the @HOME network, we have been receiving numerous requests from members to change their e-mail addresses. Please send a message to updates2@nhlfa.com if you have been affected by the @HOME service. Please send us your old and new e-mail addresses.
The agreement we recently signed with the NHL no longer allows us to provide NHLFA e-mail alias or vanity addresses to members (i.e. joefan@nhlfa.com). However, those with existing accounts will be allowed to continue using them indefinitely.
Now that we have a formal agreement in place with the NHL, we will aggressively pursue a title sponsor as well as secondary corporate sponsors. Funds received from sponsorships will be used to enhance our Web site for members, promote the Association and continue to provide advocacy on behalf of hockey fans.
Our promotion with The Hockey News was a success. THN received over $4000 (CDN) in new subscriptions from NHLFA members. We'll be using the credit with THN for advertising purposes in the coming weeks. Thanks to everyone who subscribed to THN. Your support is greatly appreciated.
Attached to this note is an NHLFA banner ad. Please feel free to display this ad on Web sites or distribute it to webmasters for posting as a promotion for the NHLFA.
We receive many new members from messages posted on bulletin boards and chat rooms. If you have promoted the NHLFA this way, thank you. If you have not promoted the Association on the boards and chat rooms you frequent, please feel free to do so.
And don't forget the NHLFA Boards are always open. Please check out The
NHLFA Boards at http://www.nhlfa.com/boards.html
